"Thrift Shop" is a song by American rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis. It was released on August 27, 2012 as the Macklemore's eight single on carrer and as the fifth single from their collaborative debut studio album The Heist . It features vocals from Wanz. The song was composed to show Macklemore's esteem for thrift shops, and to save money, opposing the flaunting preached by a lot of rappers. It has been well-received by music reviewers; its humorous lyrics and social critic were praised.
