Veritas

Veritas is a political party in the United Kingdom, formed in February 2005 by Robert Kilroy-Silk following a split from the UK Independence Party . Kilroy-Silk served as party leader from formation, through the 2005 General Election, until his resignation in July that year. He was succeeded by Patrick Eston who resigned the leadership on 15 June 2008 citing frustrations of his efforts to reform the party. Therese Muchewicz is the Party Leader.

VERITAS

VERITAS is a major ground-based gamma-ray observatory with an array of four 12m optical reflectors for gamma-ray astronomy in the GeV - TeV energy range. VERITAS uses Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescope technique to observe gamma-rays. The telescope design is based on the design of the existing 10m gamma-ray telescope of the Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory. It consists of an array of imaging telescopes deployed such that they permit the maximum versatility and give the highest sensitivity in the 50 GeV - 50 TeV band . This very-high-energy observatory, completed in 2007, effectively complements Fermi.
