Vishnu is a main Hindu God and is considered as the Supreme God within Vaishnavism, and Purushottama or Supreme Purusha in ancient sacred texts like Bhagavad Gita, Puranas especially Bhagavata Purana & Mahabharata. Vishnu is also known as Narayana and Hari. The Vishnu Sahasranama of Mahabharata declares Vishnu as Paramatman, Parameshwara and Yajna-Patih .
