Do you like puzzle books? Then I can highly recommend Francis Heaney’s Brain Games for Word Nerds (eBay link because I think maybe it’s out of print). In it he shows off some puzzle formats of his own invention, including this one. How does it work?
This puzzle has two quotations, and letters can drop down from above or float up from below. Letters at the top will drop down into the upper grid, and letters at the bottom will float up into the lower grid. Letters in the middle may go up or down; you must figure out which are which.
I’ve left out a word from one of these quotes to make the lengths line up better ummm as part of a meta-puzzle or something. If you can figure out what word is missing leave a comment and we’ll send you a hundred virtual Nexus Buxx which can be redeemed for, let’s say, future puzzles on this site.
