Oh, right, what is this? It’s a dropquote/floatquote, a puzzle type invented by Francis Heaney for his Book “Brain Games for Word Nerds.” Here’s how it works:
This puzzle has two quotations, and letters can drop down from above or float up from below. Letters at the top will drop down into the upper grid, and letters at the bottom will float up into the lower grid. Letters in the middle may go up or down; you must figure out which are which.
