Over at the blog I’ve been playing around with acrostic-like puzzles. We ran an acrostic without a quote that we called a “portals” puzzle (https://tinyurl.com/xw-portals) and we’ve also run a dropquote, which is an acrostic without … well, without the acrostic, I guess. Here’s how it works:
In a dropquote, you must reveal the quote hidden in the white squares. Above each column are a series of letters; you “drop” each letter into the appropriate squares in each row and column to reveal the quote. Use logic and letter patterns to determine which letter goes where.
The puzzle is attached in JPZ and PDF form. You can solve the JPZ at https://crosswordnexus.com/solve
Happy solving, and thanks for your continued patronage!
