PUZZLE LINKS: JPZ Download | Online Solver | PDF
A Flower Power puzzle for you today! This is a new puzzle type to this site but it’s been around for a while, having been introduced to the United States by none other than Will Shortz! He discovered it in an Italian magazine and brought it to Games Magazine in the ’70s. This is a very pretty puzzle type, but only in the PDF. There’s a JPZ and an online solver link, but you should at least peek at the PDF to see what these puzzles are intended to look like. The JPZ kind of looks like an MC Escher staircase, so that’s pretty cool too, I guess.
Huge, huge thanks to Robin Yu for creating Python code to make grid images for these puzzles! Now that this is out there, I want to see these puzzles from all of you. No more excuses!
