If you’ve been around this site for a while, you’re probably familiar with our PDF creator. We haven’t really updated it in a while, so we were due for something like this. And it’s a big one!
As of this moment, just about any puzzle type you can think of can be turned into a PDF on that page. Previously, we could only make PDFs from the standard puzzle types (puz, JPZ, iPuz, cfp) but we’ve just added .rg (for rows garden puzzles!) and .vpuz (for other variety puzzles). The rows garden creator can even alphabetize the bloom clues if you’d like — just add "thorny": true
to the advanced options.
If you plan on making a fancy puzzle type in the future, we hope you’ll be decide to use this tool to create the PDFs. Let us know if you do!
Can a Rows Garden .rgz file be made to be thorny by declaring “thorny”: true?
Yes!
Hi, is there a way to add support for other backround shapes? I created a crossword with circles, hearts, spades, and stars, but the PDF shows them all as circles.
Hi! Not yet but that’s a good idea.
