PUZZLE LINKS: PDF | Online Solver
Friend of the blog Kate Chin Park suggested we run a Flower Power puzzle, since it’s been a while, so here it is. She even tested it for us! What a pal.
Do you remember how flower power puzzles work? Here’s the lowdown:
The answer to each clue in this puzzle is six letters long and should be entered in a curve starting in the correspondingly numbered space on the outside and curving in towards the center of the flower. Each numbered space is the start of two answers, one curving clockwise and the other counterclockwise.
If you click on the online solver link you’ll see something new! We’ve previously offered these puzzles in a format that was functional in our solver, but not real pretty. And where’s the fun in that? So we’re proud to debut the Crossword Nexus Variety Solver for this puzzle! We can consider this a beta version for now, as it’s functional but not, you know, super beautiful. Click anywhere in the puzzle to enter a letter, or click and hit backspace to delete a letter you’ve already typed. If you solve the puzzle correctly you might even get a little surprise!
If you’re a CSS pro that wants to help me make this nicer-looking, feel free to chip in to improve the code! We’re hoping to be able to bring you more variety puzzles solvable this way in the future!
